Abbottabad is a beautiful and health resort of KPK province. Abbottabad is beautiful city surrounding with hills from all sides located on the silk route. This city has some sensitive buildings including different regiment centers of Pak army, and Pakistan Military Academy located at Kakul. There are some leading and most sophisticated educational institutes, which are providing higher standard of education to the students at different classes including matric and FA/FSc classes. Army Burn Hall College for both boys and girls, Beaconhouse school, Pakistan International Public School and College, Progressive College of Sciences, Roots schools and City schools, which are providing higher level of education and are affiliated with Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Abbottabad.

BISE Abbottabad controls the education in the Abbottabad schools to maintain the education at matric level and in the Abbottabad Colleges and higher secondary schools to raise the standard of education at the SSC and HSSC levels. Abbottabad Board manages the annual exams of 9th and 10th classes during the month of March and for the 11th and 12th classes during April.
